This is a diffuse aurora display taken from Fairbanks, Alaska. It's fairly typical to walk outside late at night and see the sky this way. It doesn't have the brilliance that we get with many of the geomagnetic storms, but even so there were a few moments when real "structure" appeared. 6 s exposures with 7 s interval f/2.8 Compiled at 18 fps

The northern lights really tearing it up over our little dry cabin in Fairbanks, Alaska. (At about 25 seconds I had to replace the battery and memory card so it flickers dark for a second. Sorry!)
