White Wing Crossbills
A pair of white wing crossbills come to visit us in Fairbanks on a 40 below day. It was so cold that you can see their breath! Wonderful light and snow falling from the trees really helped make the scene.

Geese
We saw a few arctic loons.
Some magpies flying around the parking area to the Worthington Glacier State Recreation Site.
The geese have arrived at Creamer's Field.

Spruce Grouse
Kate walked outside this morning to find a spruce grouse in the front yard. She didn't seem to phased by our presence and went around the yard eating all the high bush cranberries.
