Faint
Faint diffuse aurora in the sky at Angel Rocks
Milky Way
Our Galaxy. With a bit of aurora. And that fuzzy blob up and right is the Andromeda Galaxy. Cool.
Galaxy
A bit of aurora is in the sky too. The bright star straight up from the closest (tallest looking) tree on the right is Vega, part of the Lyra constellation.
Aurora Rays Break the Horizon
The aurora looked like it might act up for a few minutes before settling back below the horizon. It was really windy out, hence all the motion blur in the trees. Ursa Major on the right.
Angel Rocks - Faint Aurora
In the couple hours I spent out here in the howling wind, the aurora never did much. Ursa Major is in the center.

Strengthening band
The sky always seemed to be just on the verge of erupting, but it just didn't have the power yet. Angel Rocks.
Aurora at Angel Rocks
This was probably the brightest the aurora got while I was out at Angel Rocks. I was surprised that I could see the high altitude reds with my eye - I usually can't when it's this dim.
Got some aurora in your galaxy
This was taken just seconds before a gust of wind blew my tripod and camera over. It was time to go anyway. The Pleiades cluster is fairly obvious here.
North Fork of the Chena
Chena River under some aurora. There was still quite a bit of open water out there.
Brightening band over the Chena
Aurora Borealis over the North Fork of the Chena River at the Angel Rocks trailhead
Aurora over the Chena
Northern lights at the Angel Rocks trailhead. It kept getting windier.
Aurora and Reflection
Open water just past the Flat Creek Slough along Chena Hot Springs Road. The constellation of Orion Came out. Oh, the aurora borealis was also out.

Drifting East
Burst
Aurora bursts overhead from the bands that had been sitting near the horizon. Off Chena Hot Springs Road.
Bands
After the aurora settled back down a little bit.
