    June - White Mountains

Someone had built up a particularly cool-looking cairn near the overlook off of US Creek Road. The light was really cool - some gaps in the clouds illuminated the mountains a bit while there were thunderstorms to the west and more rain to the east.

    Nome Creek View

I took the dog for a walk in the White Mountains. This is the view from the Nome Creek Trail, accessed from US Creek Road (off the Steese Highway). It was kind of a gorgeous day, beautiful blue skies mixed with thunderstorms.

  • I managed to quickly grab the caribou leg from the dog the moment he picked it up. We know from experience that it does not help his already bad breath.

  • Small stream crossing on the Nome Creek Trail. Still a bit of snow. The cold water felt good on my feet.
