Standing down at the end of our road, I had to make a decision. Do I set up a camera to take a timelapse somewhere in the woods, stand out in the road and shoot, get in the car knowing it could fade at any moment? No, that doesn't seem like what I want to do. Instead I sling the tripod with the camera on my shoulder and set out for a walk on the trails behind Creamer's Field.
I went for a walk under the aurora on the trails behind Creamer's Field in Fairbanks. It was gorgeous! I decided to not do any timelapse so I left one camera at home and just shouldered a tripod and wandered around for a couple hours. I should do it this way more often!
