Moose in a pond
Moose grazing in a pond early in the morning
Edge of the landslide debris from the air.
One of the peaks on the south side of the Loket tributary is momentarily in the Sun - a rare occurrence on this trip.
Loket GPS
Our continuous (year-round) GPS station on the Loket Tributary to the Black Rapids Glacier.
Cracks
Crevasses showing through the fresh snowfall high up near the accumulation area on Black Rapids. None of them are very wide, but you could certainly find yourself stuck at the waist if you happened upon a covered section.
One of the 4 marginal lakes we monitor by time-lapse camera. When they drain the increased water pressure at the base of the glacier causes the whole glacier to speed up.

Whiteout
The helicopter had to leave because of weather. Luckily I only had to walk about a mile down-glacier to meet up.
