A rainbow appears over the Loket Tributary to the Black Rapids Glacier in the Alaska Range. A few minutes before this I watched a lightning strike trigger a small landslide. I'm not sure how I felt about standing out in the middle of the glacier on top of the medial moraine at that moment.

I was awoken by the sound of thunder this morning and had to run out and cover the theodolite. I saw a lightning strike on a nearby hillside, triggering a small rock-fall. It was kind of neat.
