This was taken during our walk today when it was just about 35 below. Just look how high the Sun is at noon! This time of the year it only rises about 2 degrees above the horizon - look at the horizon, hold out your arm, and stick out your thumb (horizotally). That's about how high the Sun gets! Today's day was about 3 hours 45 minutes long and we're gaining a little over 1.5 minutes a day for now. I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season and that it continues to be merry through the New Year - and for all of 2014!
