Stones and Snow
Whiteout conditions on the Black Rapids Glacier in the Alaska Range
Ice fills the air as a small system is held up on the north side of the glacier. Can still see the mountains through the perfectly clear sky just south of us.

Wind at bay
April 2013 - There is snow blowing hard to the north (left) yet we are fairly sheltered higher up on the Loket tributary. I'm glad we didn't camp to the north like we did the year before.
Alpenglow
Alpenglow disappears slowly on a peak in the Alaska Range. Incredible pastels filled the sky and glance a few of the higher ridges and peaks during the "blue hour".
